Information Collection
General Website Usage
Services on www.myclassmate.com require that You first complete a registration form. During registration You must provide a set of identifying information, including but not limited to information such as the Your name, e-mail address, and zip code. This information uniquely identifies the Your account with MyClassmate. We will occasionally contact the User via the provided e-mail address regarding the administration of Your account. We may also use this information to contact You about services on our site about which You opt- in. We give You the opportunity to opt-in for receiving marketing emails in addition to receiving account servicing emails. We do not sell or provide your email address to any third party who wish to market their products to you.
User Profile
MyClassmate consolidates all personal registration information collected about an individual User into that User's User Profile. Each User has the ability to add, edit, or delete this information at will by logging into the User’s account online and changing this information via the User’s online profile. Apart from the User, only selected MyClassmate employees have direct access to the entirety of this information, in order to facilitate customer service. MyClassmate partners have limited access as required to provide services requested by the User.
As described above, a User's User Profile serves as a central repository of all contact and related data entered by the User. The User has the ability to add, edit, or delete information from his User Profile at any time. In addition to User-entered data, the User Profile also contains administrative information such as a running record of MyClassmate employee interactions with the User. This information enables MyClassmate’s support staff to provide a consistently high-quality customer service experience across its client base, and is not accessible to the User.
USE OF YOUR INFORMATION
Personal Information
MyClassmate, is the owner of the registration information collected on its websites. MyClassmate may collect information from You at various points on this website, including support requests, user profile maintenance, user registration, and general website usage.
The files that you store on the MyClassmate website(s) are yours. You are free to add to or delete this information at your discretion. The filed storage information is not owned by MyClassmate. For the purpose of servicing your account, for terms of service compliance auditing, and as required by law, MyClassmate can access your private information without your authorization.
MyClassmate collects personal information relevant to Your subscription with MyClassmate, including Your name, mailing address, phone number, e-mail address and credit card information and certain non-personally identifiable information from Your computer that reflects Your use and configuration of MyClassmate, including, without limitation, statistics relating to how often files are backed up, performance metrics and configuration settings. MyClassmate gathers general information about visits to our website, the files You have marked for backup, the configuration of Your computer and Your computer’s interaction with MyClassmate. Like most websites, MyClassmate uses server log files. These logs record many details about a User's visit to the site, including User internet protocol (IP) address; User browser type; User internet service provider (ISP); Page from which the User entered the site; Page to which the User exited the site; User platform type; Date & time of visit; Specific sequence of User's progress through site.
MyClassmate uses this information to analyze trends, administer the site, track User movements in the aggregate, and gather broad demographic information for aggregate use. IP addresses, etc., are not linked to personally identifiable information. In other words, although we know precisely what a User may have done during a particular visit to our site, we do not know which User did it. To assist us in performing these analyses, MyClassmate uses popular log file tracking and analysis utilities including: Google Analytics and SmarterStats who also serve web beacons and cookies on the site.
During and after the term of this agreement You agree to receive periodic emails from MyClassmate in regards to MyClassmate or partner products, services, Your account, and system conditions, changes, updates or and schedules. You agree to provide, and at all times during the term of this agreement maintain, true and accurate account information on file with MyClassmate specifically including Your name, address, email address, telephone number, billing information and any other account information requested at any time during the sign up process. You further agree that the failure to provide or maintain such accurate information is a material breach of this agreement and subjects Your account to suspension and/or termination.

MyClassmate websites contain links to other sites. Please be aware that MyClassmate is not responsible for the privacy practices, services, standards, security, or infrastructure of such other sites. We encourage our Users to be aware of when they leave our site and to read the privacy statements of each and every website that collects personally identifying information. This privacy statement applies solely to information collected by MyClassmate. In certain cases MyClassmate may use framing technology to present content from our and our partner's websites simultaneously. In such case, we will clearly identify the framed partner webpage as an outside entity. MyClassmate will not allow any framed webpage to collect a User's personal information unless the page provides a level of security that meets our own high standard.
Use of Your Personal Information
MyClassmate will not sell Your personal information to third parties. MyClassmate may, from time to time, share with You information about other services that we think You may find to be of interest. If You wish to change the types of communications You receive from us, You may do so by clicking on the appropriate “Manage Communications” link in MyClassmate’s e-mail communications to You or by e-mailing Your request to MyClassmate at customersupport@myclassmate.com. Please note that opting-out of receiving promotional email will not affect receipt of service-related, transactional, or legal communication via email in accordance with the Terms.
MyClassmate will not view the contents of Your Account. MyClassmate may view Your file system information (file folder names, file extensions, sizes etc., but not Your file contents) to provide quality control and technical support. MyClassmate will not disclose Your personal information, including the contents of Your Account, to third parties unless disclosure is necessary to comply with the law.

REGARDING CHILDREN
MyClassmate is very concerned about protecting the privacy of children. MyClassmate does not intend to collect any personally identifiable information from children under 13 years old or knowingly distribute such information. Children under 13 are not permitted to use MyClassmate’s website, and we request that children under 13 not submit any personally identifiable information to MyClassmate. If a child under 13 has provided MyClassmate with personally identifiable information, the parent or guardian of that child should contact MyClassmate immediately at privacy@myclassmate.com to delete this information from our files.
